Metal gabions

We have been manufacturing metal gabions since 2002

Metal gabions are structures consisting of woven wire mesh formed into real cages that are filled with stones or other stone materials. Unlike traditional retaining walls, their main purpose is not to support massive earthen loads, but to create aesthetic and functional road dividers and barriers.

The production of gabions

The process begins with the production of wire mesh, usually made of steel, which is cut and welded to form the cage structure. To increase corrosion resistance, the mesh is treated with galvanizing or other protective finishes. Then stones of appropriate sizes and types are selected, often according to local availability and the aesthetic requirements of the project. The cages are filled with stones, an operation that can be done manually or with the help of machinery, depending on the scale of the project.

Metal gabions, a solid and elegant structure

Modular Structure: Metal gabions are made of galvanized or treated steel mesh, which ensure strength and durability over time. Their modular form allows for great design flexibility and easy adaptability to available spaces along roads.

Stone Filling: Filling with stones gives the necessary weight to keep the structure stable, preventing displacement and deformation. The choice of stone is not random: people usually opt for local materials that can blend harmoniously with their surroundings and provide a natural, rustic appearance.

An innovative engineering and design solution for road dividers. With their modular design, stone infill, and ease of installation, they offer an ideal balance of functionality, sustainability, and aesthetics. While not thought of as true retaining walls, their ability to define and protect spaces makes them an essential element in many street furniture and street infrastructure projects.
